Please take a moment to review our module description, outcomes, and purpose. Consider: What are you hoping to learn, and what do you want to implement into your teaching?
Authenticity is about keeping it real and the truth is there are many ways to do so. In this module, get to know the various types of authentic projects through a video and vignette. The module ends with a reflection and a commitment to the next step for your practice.
Now, on a sheet of paper or in your journal, write a question you hope to have answered by the end of the course based on our outcomes. Consider what would shift for you if you've answered this question.
Make sure you can find this question later and actively reflect on it throughout the module.
Time to dive into authenticity and all its forms!
We want to add more color and texture to the types of authenticity and what they look like in the classroom. This series of vignettes will look a little different from the other modules. Here, we have taken projects from other modules and offered a closer look at the project authenticity through a teacher reflection.
Read an example of your choice and then:
“Learning is a process where knowledge is presented to us, then shaped through understanding, discussion, and reflection.” — Paulo Freire
We have arrived at the reflection. The closing reflection is in two parts. First, complete the general reflection prompt on the content. Note, this is an activity you can use with students. Second, you will return to your initial inquiry question and the driving question.
Take out your journal and reflect on the Authenticity module using Headlines.

At the beginning of this module, we introduced the module description, outcomes, and purpose and asked you to write a question that you hoped would be answered. While reviewing our outcomes and purpose, refer back to that question to answer the following prompt below:
Hooray! All done. Wishing you success and impact with your authentic projects!
